Our Mission: To improve the ecological and economic outcome of all citizens in Ottawa County through education and the promotion of soil regeneration.
Overview:
The Kansas Association of Conservation Districts is a local governmental entity established to promote and implement conservation practices. Ottawa County Conservation District plays a crucial role in managing natural resources, such as soil, water, and wildlife habitats, to ensure sustainable land use and environmental health. Conservation districts can provide technical assistance and resources to farmers, landowners, and communities, and help them adopt practices that prevent soil erosion, manage water quality, and enhance biodiversity, and much more! By collaborating with various stakeholders, districts contribute to the preservation of ecosystems, the prevention of natural disasters, and the overall improvement of the state's environmental resilience!
