Financial Assistance

Conservation districts serve as the local source for financial assistance and various incentives for the implementation of best management practices.  Conservation districts are not regulatory agencies, so participation in any of the programs they administer is all voluntary.  As a grassroots, locally lead organization conservation districts are dedicated to getting conservation on the ground to benefits all Kansans by providing cleaner water, more productive soils.

Once producers have identified their resource concerns through the development of a conservation plan they can begin to explore all the financial assistance options available through county, state and federal sources.  State funded projects must be applied for through the county where land/project is physically located.  Federal conservation projects can be applied for and managed through your FSA reporting county, or physical location county, if different.

The links below will begin to introduce you to the financial assistance programs.
