Pat Lehman Legacy Award

Patrick “Pat” Lehman was a farm boy from Brewster Kansas, a graduate of Fort Hays State University. After being stationed in Juneau, AK with the Coast Guard, Pat returned to Kansas and the family farm.  Pat relocated to Lawrence in 1990 with his wife Robin where they established a lobbying and corporate communications firm. KACD was fortunate to hire Pat as the Executive director in 2007. Pat served in this role until the time of his death in January 2015. While his time with KACD was cut short, his impact will be felt for years to come.  To honor Pat’s legacy and to recognize outstanding conservation leaders in Kansas, KACD is honored to present the Pat Lehman Legacy Award at the KACD Annual Meeting each November to one deserving supervisor who demonstrated excellence in promoting and leading voluntary conservation through their years of service. The Pat Lehman Legacy Award recipient is selected by KACD executive board and will be notified prior to the annual convention. The recipient will be invited to attend the entire convention as KACD’s guest.
