KACD Advocating for More Living Roots to Improve Soil Health

The Kansas Association of Conservation Districts is involved in the planting of cover crops, said Troy Munsch, a KACD contractor.
“What we’re looking at through this agreement is to improve soil health. That’s our focus,” he said. “We are advocating to have more living roots in the system for a longer period of time.”

Kansas to be Represented at International Event

St. John's Catholic School, Beloit, Mitchell County won the 2024 Kansas Envirothon competition. The Kansas Envirothon competition has been held since 1992, has not had a winning team from Mitchell County before. The St John's team is set to travel to Geneva, New York this weekend.
